ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

What Is Root Canal Treatment?

The outer portion or Crown of a tooth is a three-layered structure namely –

Enamel, Dentin & Pulp.
If the tooth decay is limited to the first two layers, it can be corrected with Filling/ Restoration. In case the tooth decay reaches the third layer and causes inflammation or infection of pulp, an RCT or Endodontic Treatment is needed.

Root Canal Treatment also known as Endodontic Treatment is a procedure done when the tooth decay reaches the pulp (innermost layer of the tooth) causing inflammation. It is necessary to save the damaged tooth from extraction. This procedure is done by an Endodontist who is known as a Root Canal Specialist. The procedure involves:

  • Removal of inflamed or infected tooth material

  • Cleaning and disinfection

  • Filling and sealing with an inert material

  • Restoration and crown/cap

It is a multi-step procedure and may require multiple sittings.
At Arya Dental Clinic, we also provide Laser Root Canal Treatment.

The Difference Between Laser & Traditional Root Canal?

Traditional Root Canal Treatment:

A traditional root canal makes use of a drill to create a tiny opening in the tooth to be treated. The infle hole is filled back up again with a rubber like solution.

Laser Root Canal Treatment:

A laser root canal follows basically the same procedure, but making use of a laser, instead of a drill, really does make a difference. The laser can 'boil away' the damaged tissue with far greater accuracy  and speed and the tooth is left considerably cleaner. There is also often less bleeding involved - a plus for anyone because no one really likes to see blood, especially if it's their own.  Some patients who have had a root canal in the past and then had laser treatment have reported that the pain and discomfort they experienced immediately after their dental surgery was noticeably less.

  • What Is The Cost Of A Smile Makeover Procedure?
A smile makeover is a collection of treatments rather than a single procedure. While some may require the majority of them, others may only require a handful. As a result, the cost of a smile makeover varies from person to person, depending on what is required.
  • How To Get Perfect Teeth?
It is simple to achieve flawless teeth; you simply need to pay attention to two factors. Brushing, flossing, and rinsing are all basic oral hygiene guidelines to follow. Second, make sure you get your teeth checked at least twice a year at a dental clinic.
  • Can One Get Their Teeth Fixed Without Braces?
Straighter teeth have become more accessible as technology has advanced to greater heights. There are a variety of transparent aligners and invisible braces on the market that can straighten your teeth without letting others know that you're wearing them.
  • Can A Tooth Be Pushed Back Into Its Place?
In many cases, the tooth will shift into position on its own. In some circumstances, however, doctors at the dental clinic have many options for pushing the tooth back if necessary.
